Every neighbourhood in London deserves at least one local café consisting of these three fundamental ingredients - quality coffee, delicious food and cosy atmosphere. My choice in East Dulwich - Blackbird Bakery.

7 days a week, early in the morning, fresh bread pastries are delivered to all six Blackbird cafés located across South London. If you find yourself in the area, visit them for their freshly made sandwiches, blueberry and yoghurt topped muesli, full of flavour sausage/spinach rolls (my personal favourite), quiches, tempting cake offerings and a lovely cup of coffee to start your day.

Located just a few minutes walk from East Dulwich station, Blackbird bakery is a perfect place for a stopover.
