Senzala

French Crepes with Brazilian Flair

Woke up this morning craving for crepes? Filled with runny free range eggs, veggies and bacon or generously topped with maple syrup and ice cream – sweet or savoury, the choice is yours! You can find my favourite crepe place in Brixton Village, around 10min walk away from Brixton underground station.

Senzala’s menu includes loads of vegetarian, gluten-free (buckwheat crepes) and a few really good vegan options. The prices are great compared to other pancake/crepe places I’ve been – a generous portion for £7-£10 each. Senzala’s coffee is delicious and rich, my advice – go a bit wild and order a condensed milk latte completing your sweet order!

Senzala, with its Brazilian design perfectly fits in the unique atmosphere of Brixton Village. There’s a chubby ginger cat stopping by Senzala rather often, don’t be surprised if she will simply jump on the bench and watch you with a lazy stare - once your food is finished, she will shift to another customer. Even if you’re not a big fan of crepes, I would still recommend visiting Brixton Village where you will definitely find something fitting your taste as it is packed with little restaurants and cafes.
