PIN Ian Stuart Blewcoat

Stunning Bridal Boutique

Situated in Caxton Street deep in the heart of Victoria’s bustle lies the Blewcoat where brides of all ages can stumble into another world. Visitors, whose senses have been pummeled by the teeming metropolis will find an oasis of tranquility within a stunning Baroque architecture and friendly welcome.

The historic Blewcoat building where boys (and happily now girls) have been schooled over the last centuries) is now home to a collection of stunning wedding dresses by British designer Ian Stuart.

A Unique atmosphere and service

This little shop is easy to miss when you’re wandering along Caxton Street. From the outside, it looks like a quirky museum with stylish birds nests along the railings and towering pillars as you walk in. But, inside the locked doors, you’ll find an array of intricately designed wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories. This award winning designer secures most of his business from word of mouth having been a personal shopper with high end brands in a previous life!

“This is a magical place,” said Sohn Aursudkij, Manager of the shop. “One of my favourite parts of this job is when the bride sees herself in her wedding dress, sometimes she’ll cry because she’s found the perfect dress and she knows this is what she’ll wear on the Big Day. Some people try it on and think I can’t have anything else”

"Usually there is close relationship between the bride and her mother with a little healthy competition! People trust us….we build a relationship…it’s an emotional event….customers from all over the world. We provide a unique experience and understand the bride’s personality….they can meet the designer of the dress" Sohn goes on to say. The focus is to provide a magical experience to make the customers feel special and there is no hard sell. Beauty and comfort seamlessly combine for that special day.

Once you’ve been welcomed into the Shop, you will be treated to tea and Ferrero Rochers, while a personal assistant will help you try on a variety of different dresses and accessories in the privacy of an empty Shop. If you can’t find anything you like, the staff will create something based on your personal ideas. Prices for that special dress range from £900 to £10,000 and takes between 4 to 6 months to order, although making a new one can be done within three days.

Customers say:

" I can’t pick one thing that is special…its lots of little things like having the Store to myself…. I see Ian create the dress, understand the personality of the dress…he is very creative…he can make a new dress by just looking at you."
