A New Concept In Kebabs
This is a kebab joint that sets a gold standard for the genre. It is a very cosy little establishment and full of locals indulging themselves in the big flavours. It is all set around a charcoal grill centre piece and diners are all tucked in quite cosily – not as claustrophobic as is sounds and it works well. Ingredients are well sourced and lovingly prepared with four fillings with a salad or flatbread accompaniment. Its all presented and with care and served with a smile. Lots of founder/owner participation close at hand - complete commitment exudes from every pore.
In conclusion its very welcoming, with good sized quality portions proportions but be careful of the innocuous looking red pepper which packs a punch. There is a great beverage list but try the Turkish beer if you have a fire that needs to be put out.
TripTide Thoughts
Loved the vibe. The smallest restaurant in Clapham (so said one of the owners) but the biggest heart (we added that bit).
How to get there
Smack in the middle of loads of public transport but basically its a couple of hundreds yards up Battersea Rise - a brisk 15 minute walk from Clapham Junction.
