A Local History Museum in North London

The museum’s collection contains topics including the Battle of Barnet, Barnet Fair and Market. It is a centre for local and family research and its archives, library and reference collection are available for use by members of the public.

History

The museum opened in March 1938 and make available to the public the growing collection of the Barnet Museum & Local History Society which had been founded in 1927 to record and preserve Barnet’s history.

Opening Hours

Tuesday - Thursday : 2.30-4.30pm
Saturday : 10.30am-4pm
Sunday : 2.30-4.30pm

Triptide Thoughts

Interesting collection of objects from various times spread over three floors. Not huge but well worth a visit if in the area.

How to get there

The best way to get there, is by going to the High Barnet tube Station and from there it's 10 minutes walk.
