PIN Big Ferdinands

burgers par excellence

A French burger chain serving signature beef patties in a casual, wood-decked space with wine & beer. They opened in the heart of Fitzrovia (near Goodge Street Station) back in March 2015 and Big Fernand specialises in “hamburgés”, burgers made with a pronounced French accent. Made from premium meat, cooked to your preference from raw to charred, Big Fernand’s burgers come topped with a winning combination of French unpasteurised cheeses and home-made sauces, all wrapped up in a robust, secret-recipe “pain de mie” bun that won’t collapse in your hand. If you like something casual and French this is for you. It is very relaxed but the service is good with a decent selection of beverages and ice-cream. There are always plenty of French customers dining in which is stands it in good stead.

Thet offer good food and good service – with very friendly and accommodating staff, all the more amazing when you consider how busy they are in Central London. There is also a big table upstairs that’s seats around 20 for those big parties.

TripToid Thoughts

We've eaten some good burgers but this place beats them all. Thick, fresh, beautifully put together, light (even with a double patty!) rather than leaving a greasy feeling, and utterly delicious. They cook everything from scratch – parfait
