A garden with a lot of history
Christ Church Greyfriars is an old Anglican church in ruins with a great of history. Located in Newgate Street, EC1 it was bombed during the World War 2 and the ruins are now a public garden This beautiful garden is a curious place where Clematis and climbing roses weave their way up 10 tall wooden towers which represent the pillars that once held the roof. It is possible to hire this garden and it is also available for family celebrations, receptions, film shoots and charity events.
Christchurch Greyfriars and the Rose Garden are available for hire Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm.Some events may be restricted on Sundays
History
This place was first a monastic church in the thirteenth century and later became a parish church after the dissolution of the monasteries. The church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London of 1666, and then rebuilt. It was finally destroyed a second time by bombing during the Second World War.

How to get there
You have to take the Circle or District lines and get off at Towe Mansion House and walking 9 minutes to get there or have to take Central line and get off at St paul's and walking 3 minutes to get there.
