A Children`s Farm

Everyone will enjoy a trip to Christmas Tree Farm. Children will delight in the close contact with the many types of farm animals, and they can feed and stroke them too. The animals are kept in natural conditions, being allowed to roam in large enclosures, so don`t be surprised if you find a goat in with the ponies!

Come and meet Betty the Cow and her many friends, who include Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Geese, Ponies, Donkeys and Pigs. There is an enclosed pet area where you will find Ducklings, Goslings, Chicks, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chinchillas, Ferrets and Kittens ( on occasions ).

Spend time in our garden centre, with its many varieties of shrubs and plants - plus hanging baskets (seasonal). Add that finishing touch to your garden with our wide selection of Rustic garden Furniture. Also for sale at the farm are plants, shrubs & hanging baskets, free-range chicken and duck eggs, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. Hutches can also be purchased here.

To round off your visit relax in the tea rooms or in the landscaped gardens, with one of their delicious cream teas. If you prefer something different, other refreshments and snacks are available.

How to get there

The best way to get there is to take the train to Hasting and get off at Orpington ang then take the bus R8 at Orpington Bus Station (E) and get off at Downe Court Farm. You have to walk 10 minutes to get there.

Opening times

The farm is open daily from November to February : 10am to 4pm. From March to October : 10am to 5:30pm. During School holidays and weekends from April to September it's open at 9am.
