Historic `hidden` gem in Bloomsbury

Coalville place is surrounded by some little shops, coffee stops and restaurants. This street is famous because of its architecture, its beautiful houses and past residents. There is also good university here all centred around a wonderful hidden gem of a park

History

Coalville Place is one of London's oldest surviving residential walkways and the alleyway links Charlotte Street and Whitfield Street. It was laid out in the 1790s by a carpenter, John Colville, but was badly bombed and most of the southern side was demolished.
