The Defoe Chapel Building is a old brick built chapel on 2 floors. It was built in 1776 when the congregation was huge. Supposedly the chapel was the hiding place for the famous writer Daniel Defoe (who wrote Robinson Crusoe) when he was being persecuted for his religious beliefs.

How to get there

You have to take the Northern line and get off at Tooting Broadway and walk 3 minutes.
