This giant and legendary bookshop comprises 4 flours of 200 000 different titles. There is 6.5km of shelf-space with 37000 square feet of retail space.They also provide magazines,stationery, classical music CDs , printed music with more over 80 expert booksellers.



History

Founded by brothers William and Gilbert Foyle it first opened on Charing Cross Road in 1903. It has recently entered the modern era and moved its flagship store a few doors down the street into a purpose-built “bookshop of the future” - the first purpose built in the world

How to get there

By London Underground: the bookshop is located next to Tottenham Court Road Station which is served by Central and Northern lines. It is about 2 minutes walking from the station to the shop

By Bus: take Routes 24,29,176
