PIN The Gipsy Moth Pub
Plenty of maritime history and beer
This is a very traditional British pub with a maritime theme that serves traditional and modern dishes as well as a good selection of beers and wine. Visitors will (hopefully) be impressed by its authentic, wooden, panelled interior and large range of beers and wines. It seldom closes and is always open on bank holidays
History
Immersed in maritime tradition and overlooking the landmark Cutty Sark, The Gipsy Moth is a truly unique Greenwich watering hole that simply oozes history; the pub was named after the small boat in which Sir Francis Chichester sailed single-handedly around the world and was formerly moored nearby.
Situated close to the Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum, The Gipsy Moth offers the prefect spot for relaxation and refreshment whilst sight-seeing or strolling around Greenwich. Well-connected to the rest of London via public transport, The Gipsy Moth is easy to find but perhaps a little harder to leave…
