PIN Hunterian Museum
Evolution of surgery
The Hunterian Museum is one of the most incredible museum exhibitions in London and tells the story of the past, present and future of surgery. This museum displays a wonderfully compelling collection of more than 3,500 anatomical and pathological preparations, fossils, paintings and drawings and also includes specimens donated by Edward Jenner and Sir Joseph Banks. It`s also one of the oldest collections of anatomical, pathological and zoological specimens in the UK.
History
The museums exhibits were assembled by John Hunter, (1728-1793) an eighteenth century surgeon, anatomist and collector who is now known as the father of scientific surgery.
