History

Lord's Cricket Ground was founded in 1814 and owes its name to its founder, Thomas Lord. Lord's is one of the venues used by the England cricket team since 1884. It is otherwise one of the venues for Middlesex Cricket Club.

Lord’s is very close to the centre of London – just under 1 mile from Baker Street which can be accessed by Bakerloo, Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City lines. then a 15 minute walk to the ground
