PIN Lord`s Cricket Ground

Historic Cricket Ground

Lord`s Cricket Ground, or simply Lord`s, is a famous sporting stadium in St. Johns Wood. If you are sports enthusiast this is definitely a place for your trip plan at a venue that is steeped in history. Check out the test matches which due to our weather are always in the summer. If you get the chance to see a `test match` you are in for a treat

Top Tip: MCC stands for Marylebone Cricket Club

Lord's Cricket Ground was founded in 1814 and owes its name to its founder, Thomas Lord. Lord's is one of the venues used by the England cricket team since 1884. It is otherwise one of the venues for Middlesex Cricket Club.

TripTide Thoughts

England vs Australia is a must see if you can get tickets during the Ashes.

How to get there

Lord’s is very close to the centre of London – just under 1 mile from Baker Street which can be accessed by Bakerloo, Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City lines. then a 15 minute walk to the ground
