PIN The Polka Theatre

Great venue in Wimbledon for children

The Polka Theatre creates world-class theatre for children! They have 2 theatre spaces with shows all year round for ages 0 to 13 years (the upcoming shows can be found on their website.) They are one of the few venues in the UK that is dedicated to producing and presenting work for young audiences, and this unique venue has been entertaining kids with engaging theatre since 1979!

They have an outdoor playground, an indoor play area with rocking horses, and a dressing up chest: just go in any time they are open. You can treat yourself to something tasty from their cafe, and sit in the train while you enjoy it.

They also have lots of workshops for children, where you can learn all the behind the scenes tricks of the trade and become a designer, musician, dancer or actor for the day. The theatre also has lots of craft making workshops for all age ranges. Full details on after school and holiday workshops can be found on their website.

It is recommended that you take note of the lower age limits on shows in the Main Theatre, which will help you choose a suitable show for your child, and ensure that all audience members enjoy the performance. Every show at Polka has a recommended age range.
