PIN Porky`s BBQ

Deep South Eating in Camden

On May 17th, 2013, Porky’s BBQ opened and started selling its wares in Camden from Carolina ‘cue’ joints to rough-and-ready pop-ups, southern US barbecue. Although there are some similar choices of fayre this place is true to its roots - portions are massive, prices reasonable, flavours full-on - and pork is the main attraction. The atmosphere is enhanced by exposed brick walls, vintage posters, ambient lighting and Elvis Presley and the food is highly complementary. Very tender, perfectly seasoned, 18-hour slow-cooked pulled pork, and succulent ribs are the most popular dishes, but visitors can also find spit-roast barbecue chicken and fried catfish

Be warned portion sizes are huge but doggy bags are in great supply. There is a good selection of whisky, and the jalapeno cornbread is a favourite of visitors from the US.
