PIN Red Cross Cottages
Non-swearing residents
The Redcross Cottages are six small connected houses overlooking Redcross Gardens. They were built in the late 1800s to provide some dignified working-class housing (for deserved cases) around the garden. I and of itself - the garden was intended to be a small park granting precious green space amidst the crowded and dirty Southwark surroundings. There`s a beautiful mosaic on an adjoining community hall. The houses have gabled fronts, bay windows, and lovely tiled roofs. It`s like a little oasis in Borough !
