Islington cinema at its best

Now retitled as `Everyman Screen on the Green`, the cinema offers a variety of films and special events, including the National Theatre Live, live Q&As, and also film festivals and seasons. It offers a mix of standard and premier seats (the latter being ‘luxurious sofas with footrests’), and there is a bar at the back of the screen.

History

The cinema opened on 13 September 1970 as The Screen On The Green. It was comprehensively modernised in February 1981 by the architect Fletcher Priest. It now has a has a seating capacity of 300.

Opening Hours

10am daily (or half an hour before the first film of the day, if earlier).

Triptide Thoughts

We thought is was a great cinema theatre , old school setting with comfy seats and a bar at the back. Lots of respectful silence during the performances. Highly recommended if you are a movie buff

How to get there

The best way to get there, is by going to St Mary's bus Stop and from there it's 2 minutes walk.
