Drink and eat in Gabriel`s Wharf
Studio 6 is situated in Gabriel’s Wharf – just a small stroll along the Southbank about 5 minutes from the BFI if you are walking to the Tate Modern. It is a cosy two-roomed bar/restaurant close to the River with an alfresco seating area on the side. The place hosts a wide variety of clientele from media types to families to tourist and is a great place to stop and recharge the batteries to or from wherever you might be heading.
The Fare
One half of Studio 6 is a restaurant, the other a bar and unlike many of the local establishment it serves a comprehensive selection of beers from smaller/micro breweries and a good selection and varied food menu. The restaurant caters for most tastes. You can order food such as handmade spinach and ricotta ravioli with a tomato chilli and basil sauce, rocket and parmesan, homemade salmon fishcakes with mixed leaves and pickled beetroot, lamb leg steak or hamburger and chips, all priced well under £10. A small selection of desserts ranging from crumbles, cheesecakes and tiramisu are modestly priced at £3.50.
