The Almeida occupies a unique space in the theatre world by combining the best of 19th century original features with the comfort of modern facilities. The theatre produces a diverse range of drama.

History

The theatre was built in 1837 for the newly formed Islington Literary and Scientific Society and included a library, reading room, museum, laboratory, and a lecture theatre seating 500.

Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7.30pm
Sun 4 Jun 2pm - 6pm

How to get there

The best way to get there, is by going to the Highbury and Islington tube Station and from there it's 10 minutes walk.
