PIN Brockwell Park Lido
Art deco at its outdoor best
Visitors looking for a little nostalgia in the London summertime should pay a visit to the Brockwell Park Lido. The pool is an Olympic-sized heated outdoor pool and has recently had flood lights installed to extend its winter opening hours.
The pool was built in 1937 at the height of Britains infatuation with out door swimming and was designed very much in the style of the day. the Lido is a Grade 11 listed art deco example in the grounds of Brockwell Park in London`s south east. It is an Olympic sized swimming pool measuring 50 metres long and is open all-year round. It is a very popular destination in the London summer and boasts the award winning Lido Cafe.
How to get there?
