An introduction to fans, their history and how they are made

The Fan Museum holds a world-renowned collection of fans and fans leaves. The collection is full of examples from all around the world from the 12th century to the present day.There are mostly European fans from the 18th and 19th centuries. The Museum has a temporary exhibition which highlights a particular theme in fan history that changes approximately three times per year.

How to get there

The best way to get there, is by going to the Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich South East tube station. From there it's 5 minutes walk.
