The Flask is a place with an extensive selection of food and drinks. Their restaurant serves traditional and very seasonal food. It is one of the best pub restaurants of Highgate. There is plenty of variety with different menus for lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch, BBQ and the children`s selection. They also has spirits of a different kind as this pub is reportedly haunted by a ghostly presence - but just see for yourself. You can book a room for a private event of your choice whether it is for a meeting or a birthday for between 14 and 20 people.

How to get there

To get there you have to take the bus number 271 and get off at South Grove stop. You have to walk 3 minutes and you will be there.

A nice place where you can eat well and have a good time. We didn't see any ghost this time - but you never know.

History

The history of this pub is extensive -it dates from around the 1720’s and is wrapped in many stories. There are actually two ghostly apparitions to be found here. Legend tells that a Spanish barmaid hanged herself and a man is occasionally seen crossing the room and vanishing into the pillar. In another room, the Pub’s Committee Room was allegedly the scene of one of the first-ever autopsies.
