A fascinating Museum

This Museum is dedicated to Sigmund Freud, he lived there with his family during the last year of his life in 1938. In the ground floor of this museum, there is the library, the hall and the dining room. The first floor is a video room, there is also a contemporary art exhibition.

History

The Freud Museum, at 20 Maresfield Gardens in Hampstead, was the home of Sigmund Freud and his family when they escaped Austria following the Nazis rise to power in 1938. It remained the family home until Anna Freud, the youngest daughter, died in 1982, it was her wish to turn this home into a museum.

The best way to get there, is by going to the Swiss Cottage tube Station, and from there it's 9 minutes walk.
