The Hampstead Theatre is in the borough of Camden. It produces original plays and supports and develops the work of new writers. With no creative restriction, the theatre is full of originality, and has the ambition to influence and shape the future of British theatre.

History

The original theatre was created in 1959 and the first artist director was James Roose-Evans. The Hampstead Theatre in Swiss Cottage was opened in 2003. The main auditorium seats 325 people.

The best way to get there is by going to the Swiss Cottage tube station and from there it's 1 minute walk.
