History

The building was built in1870 but not as a theatre. In the 1960's it became a surgery and then in the 1970's it became a night club. In 1981 the building collapsed with a lot of lives lost and it was discovered that 'old' bricks had been used to disastrous effect. The building was completely and safely restored.

The best way to get there is to take the DLR Lewisham and get off at Deptford Bridge and then you have to walk 8 minutes. Or you can also take a bus number 53 / 177 or 453 and get off at New Cross Station.
