PIN The Orangery

Perfect location for an elegant lunch or an indulgent afternoon tea.

The Orangery is a relaxed and elegant setting for breakfast or lunch and the only royal palace in London where you can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. The place is surrounded by beautiful formal gardens in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

History

The baroque Orangery, located next to Kensington Palace in Kensington Gardens, was built in 1704-05 for Mary's younger sister, Anne, who became Queen when William died. Anne used Kensington for entertaining and held parties in the Orangery.
