PIN Regency Cafe

Nice Westminster Café

The Regency Café opened in 1946 on Regency Street in the borough of Westminster. The cafe itself is designed in a delightful art deco style. Interior decorations include photographs of Tottenham Hotspur football players adorning the walls. The the wall tiling is original but the tables are new and formica topped although nothing is incongruous..The cafe has been featured as a filming location in several BBC series such as Judge John Deed , Rescue Me and London Spy. It has also appeared in the films Layer Cake and Brighton Rock as well as Pride.

About

The Regency is nestled in a quiet little Pimlico street and looks. feels and smells like a typical place to get an English breakfast. It has retained all the original tiling, ambience and atmosphere. Service is efficient and portions are amble and with staples like steak pie, chips and gravy - it is more than enough to satisfy the hungriest customer. It is a perfect refueling point for the nearby Tate Britain.

TripTide Thoughts

Great place with simple English food in plenty of quantity. We recognised it from numerous films although could not quite pin-point which ones.
