PIN Thames Barrier Park
Riverside Park in the East
The Thames Barrier Park is 14 hectares of riverside greenspace. It is located on the north side of the River Thames next to the Thames Barrier. It was designed by a french architect Allain Provostand includes a Pavilion of Remembrance which commemorates local people who died in the Second World War.
The green trench running through the park was intended as a reminder of the site`s dockland heritage. It provides a sheltered microclimate for a `rainbow garden` - strips of coloured plants. The Park boasts a spectacular view of the Thames Flood Barrier.
