PIN Wenlock Arms

Battling Boozer

Good place to eat and enjoy a little moment with some highly original decorations. The beer and the cider are very good with great service. The Wenlock was an outlet for the nearby brewery of the same name, and poured its first pint in 1836 but it closed with its parent company in the 1960s, and then reopened in 1994. It subsequently won awards for the quality of its real ale and plaudits for the cosiness of its real fire. It also has a battling history and was saved from demolition and the dreaded property developers.

How to get there?

By Bus: Murray Grove/Hoxton station
Shoreditch police station

Overground: Angel station
