Dishoom

#NATIONALCURRYWEEK2016

If you're planning a trip to London this Annual National Curry Week, you can always explore one of London's hidden gems that run the length of Brick Lane in East London. Or if you're looking for a slightly more salubrious experience, consider visiting one of the four Dishoom locations for a uniquely London experience.

Modelled on the old Irani cafes of Bombay in the 1960's, the Dishoom team collaborated with designer Macauley Sinclair to ensure that each of the restaurants creates an authentic experience - not just of delicious Indian food, but also of the history of hidden London.

Each of the locations has its very own footprint and identity, paying homage to the history of the city. The industrial splendour of King's Cross Dishoom inhabits part of the Western Transit Shed of the Victorian Granary building; the Covent Garden location has sensitively restored the beautiful building; in Shoreditch you can sit out on the Verandah and watch the hustle and bustle of East London go by, and the Carnaby Street location pays homage to the music revolution of the ’60s which helped to inspire the Bombay music scene.

The food is delicious, the service is great, and they also have a fantastic social media presence. So if you're planning a trip to London, why not celebrate National Curry Week at Dishoom?
