Never heard of Brent but...

A relaxing day in Brent

As you may know Brent is a London borough in north west London, and forms part of Outer London. The major areas are Kilburn, Kingsbury, Wembley, Willesden and Harlesden.

For a little café culture, nowhere has embraced it better than this borough, the quirky Ace Cafe in Stonebridge is the place for a double-shot of motorcycle culture. You can also enjoy a good movie at the Tricycle Theatre, a small and comfy cinema. If you like dynamic places, you will probably enjoy The Paradise by Way of Kensal Green. This gastropub has an exciting roster of music and comedy events. You can also enjoy a good meal at Queen’s Park Farmers’ Market on Sundays, this convivial place is perfect to stock fresh produce.

Brent is also a place were you can relax and see the stunning places and architecture, like the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir - a Hindu temple and the largest of its kind outside of India. The Wembley Stadium, very well known as a regular stop-off for the world’s biggest bands, annual visits from the NFL and much more.

My favorite spot was the Roundwood Park Road, this colourful rose-filled flowerbeds, a pretty Victorian bandstand and gazebo are all rather charming, but what makes it truly worth traversing is the breathtaking view of Wembley from the peak at its centre.
