PIN Guanabana

A Latin Caribbean special in Camden

Guanabana is a specialised Latin Caribbean restaurant, that can be found in Kentish town, close to Camden Town. Visitors here will be able to taste a fusion of Latin Caribbean cuisine with a sprinkle of Filipino flavours. The dishes are a compilation of cuisine from Columbia, Jamaica, Mexico, and everywhere in between.

For starters, customers can try the very popular Empanadas, some Calamari, or pickled cactus fries. There are also wings with adobo inspired marinade or a spicy jerk and the Fiery Nigerian Ewa. Favourite fundamentals include lamb curry, oxtail stew, Carlitas vegetable trio, and much more. Steak, jerk chicken, and 'gourmet' burgers are very popular and there is a variety of dishes to choose from. They also have a brunch menu that's available from 10 am-3 pm.
The restaurant was opened in 2007 and during this time it was one of the first Latin Caribbean restaurants to open in London. It is now getting quite a reputation amongst the locals and visitors should expect a treat. Guests should also remember that for a small ‘corkage’ fee, they can bring their own drinks. Conveniently, the restaurant is surrounded by multiple off-licenses.

Owner Omar Shah is a pioneering restaurateur who also owns the impressive Mamasons, Bintang, Ramo-ramen, and Guanabana's sister restaurant MoiMoi Island.
