PIN Leighton House Museum

Wonderful Tribute to Philanthropy

From modest beginnings, Leighton House became known as a Private Palace of Art. "Built by one of the most eminent artists of his day- Frederic Lord Leighton." He lived there for 30 years and its very being embodies what it was to be a successful artist in the Victorian era and gives an insight to the wealth, status and taste artists enjoyed at that time.
It is the only purpose-built studio house in the United Kingdom of its time, Leighton originally built it `for his own artistic delight.` The building is a mix between beautiful Arabic Mosaics and an old traditional English house- a true masterpiece to see.

More about the experience

In addition to admiring this wonderful museum, you can also attend the current exhibition which is constantly changing and the latest can be found on its website. Its beautiful interior isn't being allowed to not be admired- where you are able to hire the museum for corporate and private dinners, receptions, lectures, concerts and photographic or film shoots.

Triptide Thoughts

The bursting colours of the mosaics are absolutely dazzling, especially the room with the mosaics of greens and blues is breath-taking. This museum is genuinely a work of art. What is so wonderful about this museum is the contrast between the Arabic-mosque like areas and the traditional English home, which really captures the diversity not only in culture but art and in fact serves to celebrate this diversity.

"Very tranquil hidden garden"

A hidden gem just behind the design museum, with a small but relaxing garden and a nice coffee shop
