PIN MoiMoi Island

A fusion of West Africa and Caribbean take out in Camden

Moimoi is a Nigerian pudding that is made with various ingredients such as black eyes peas, peppers, and onions. MoiMoi is a new takeout that combines West African and Caribbean cuisine all under one roof. Visitors can either have a food bowl or a ‘fat roll’. When ordering a food bowl, customers can choose between the vegan bowl or any of the meat dishes such as 'Suya beef', jerk chicken, oxtail and curry lamb all served with a side of rice (either rice and peas or Jollof depending on the choice) and plantain. The ‘fat rolls’ come in a wrap with either jerk chicken, suya beef, chicken nuggets or even a vegan version as well.

This takeout opened in September 2019 and can be found in Kentish Town. It is owned by pioneering Filipino food entrepreneur, Omar Shah, the owner of the popular Mamasons, Bintang, Ramo ramen, and Guanabana the sister restaurant of Moimoi island.
