PIN Parkside Farm PYO
A great urban farming experience
The Parkside is a PYO (pick your own) Farm. It is a family-owned business that has been here since 1938.
The initiative to begin 'picking your own' started in 1979 when strawberries were the initial crop. After many years, there is now a larger selection of crops, up to twenty, across fifty acres of land. A fun fact about Parkside Farm is that they have their very own reservoir, which they built to have an efficient irrigation system and essential for making the crops to grow.
What crops can you pick yourself?
Visitors can pick between a large variety of fruits, from strawberries, gooseberries, raspberries, and more. There is also a large number of vegetables to choose from, from spinach, beans, courgettes, onions and many more. Customer wanting to find out which crops are in season should consult their website to find out the best months to harvest.
