PIN Ramo Ramen
Quality ramen with a sprinkle of Filipino Flavours
Ramo-Ramen is a restaurant serving some quality ramen and can be found close to Camden in Kentish town. Visitors looking for top-quality ramen will find what they are looking for here. For the uninitiated ramen is translated as "pulled noodles" usually consisting of wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth. The dishes are a compilation of Japanese ramen and Filipino dishes fused into one. Interestingly enough this place is the very first Filipino ramen restaurant. Side orders here include snacks, with favourite fundamentals such as chicken karage, prito pusit (fried squid), scotch bonnet chicken wings, and more. There is a variety of different Ramen to suit all tastes. The award-winning Oxtail Kare-Kare ramen - a peanut butter-based stew with pulled oxtail on top is a favourite here. Additionally, the Sinigang ramen, a very popular dish in the Philippines with a tamarind broth is a real treat. Guests can still have some traditional ramen such as the Miso mushroom ramen, as well as a Katsu curry with jasmine rice on the side.
The restaurant has been opened for two years now, one of a number of restaurants owned by a popular restauranteur Omar Shah, the owner of Mamasons, Bintang, Guanabana, and MoiMoi island who has done a great job at integrating Filipino cuisine in his restaurants.
