History

The Rose and Crown is a traditional English pub located in the historic area once known as the Paris Garden, mentioned by Shakespeare in Henry VIII. The building dates back to the 16th century. During the blitz bombings of World War II the pub survived miraculously undamaged while most of the surrounding area was flattened.

"Great afternoon in the sunshine"

Good selection of Whitstable bay ales. friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The beer garden is amazing and butts up against the church garden so it seems even bigger!
