The Homecoming
The Homecoming returns to the stage at Trafalgar Studios
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the award-winning, modern theatre classic as The Homecoming returns to the stage at Trafalgar Studios.
Presented by The Jamie Lloyd Company, Harold Pinter’s tense and enigmatic play is considered by many to be his best work.
The play tells the story of Teddy who returns to London from America to introduce his wife Ruth to his family. When they arrive in the capital, they find a hostile and aggressive household shared by Teddy’s brothers, father and uncle. With no mother figure in the anarchic home, the hapless wife finds herself the unwitting centre of attention. The sinister atmosphere increases as Ruth’s role fluctuates between predator and victim in a fierce battle of personalities.
Featuring Keith Allen, Gemma Chan, Ron Cook, Gary Kemp, John Macmillan and John Simm, this contemporary masterpiece is a thought-provoking and gripping drama.
