PIN Shuang Shuang

Downtown, Chinatown

If you are ever interested in venturing into China town, and are looking for some authentic Chinese food, Shuang Shuang is definitely a wonderful choice!

So what makes it so great?

Well for one thing the food is great, and for another thing it focuses specifically on Chinese hotpot.

So what is Chinese hotpot?

Well, this is sort of an Asian version of meat fondue, where you cook your food in a broth. You have five broths to choose from, eight dipping sauces and over forty-six different things to cook.

More about the experience

It may sound slightly overwhelming, but you are guided through the whole experience, where you must choose your hotspot and sauces at the beginning as well as being told how it all works by the friendly staff.
The ingredients you cook is collected from a conveyor belt, that are priced differently depending of the colour of the plate.
For those of you not so good in the kitchen, it also lets you know how long you should cook your food for, as well as being able to adjust the temperatures of your broth.

Triptide thoughts

Triptide definitely recommends this place. As it really goes beyond what the typical diner expects from China Town. Other than expecting some delicious Chinese food when venturing into China Town, you also get this exciting dining experience, which is very rare in London- to cook your own food in a broth!
It definitely is value for money, if you are looking at it on the basis of food to dining experience- it definitely tops this scale!
