PIN The British Museum

London's biggest and best

The British Museum is located in the Bloomsbury area and is one of the oldest and most famous museums in London. It is an unmissable place to visit during your trip to London. The museum`s focus is on tracing human history from its basic beginnings to the golden age of many empires. The museum entrance is free like all the major museums in London although you may have to pay for specific exhibitions. This major historical and cultural hub has organised numerous exhibitions featuring different parts of the historical relevance. It has 10 curatorial and research departments and the museum is constantly improving its gallery to improve the `visitor experience`.

Discover and...

The British Museum offers more than just a series of viewing galleries for its visitors. After viewing lots of different places in the museum visitors may well be in need of refreshment. The restaurants on the first and third floor are perfect to take a break with food and beverages.

For the regular visitors, the 'museum addicts', there is an annual membership card available which provides many additional services and comfort. The members have a free entry for all exhibitions and have at their disposal 'member's rooms', on the second and third floor, to take in a launch or work in a quiet and peaceful environment

The museum is full of discoveries and hidden knowledge and across the street, there are some lovely shops. Inside the museum itself there are numerous boutiques and souvenir shops on the first floor.
