PIN The Mondrian
Bringing a bold new energy to London
Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with Southbank`s eclectic vibe. Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, Mondrian London uniquely offers river view balcony suites directly on the Thames. Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known.
More Information
Award-winning designer Tom Dixon fuses cutting-edge design and functionality in each of the guestrooms, creating an atmosphere that embodies the elegance of a transatlantic 1920’s liner with a healthy dose of 1980’s post-modernism reference.
Their restaurant, 'Sea Containers' at Mondrian London is second to none, it brings the best of American and British cuisine to the Southbank, offering a modern yet casual dining experience in an informal setting alongside the River Thames. Whilst their rooftop bar, 'Rumpus Rooftop' has the most stunning views of the Thames (a sure week-end hotspot!)
Triptide Thoughts
It just seems that everything from the Mondrian Hotel, to the Sea Containers restaurant- to the Rumpus Bar is designed in the ut-most richness in terms of design and atmosphere. I've also heard their week-end brunches is pretty delicious..
