It was built in 1973, and owned by J. Lyons & Co but now being part of the luxury brand Guoman Hotels. A fun fact is that its exterior was briefly featured in John Wayne’s 1975 film; ‘Brannigan.’ Its interior also being featured in the 1986 film ‘Biggles’ starring Jim Ferguson.

It is a 4 star hotel, with a fitness centre, restaurant and bar on-site. It also has 19 meeting spaces with a capacity of up to 550 people.

It is a perfect location if you wish to do some cultural activities such as exploring the Tower of London or taking a boat trip down the Thames. Also guests have been happy that despite it being next to the Tower of London, you do not feel the area is super affected by tourists, and that you do feel a distance from them, which can be a definite positive factor after a long day out exploring London’s busy city.
