Tokyobike is a small, independent bicycle company founded in 2002 in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka and now has opened in London, Shoreditch as well as a branch in Fitzrovia.

It`s bikes are light at 22 lb, based on the concept of ‘Tokyo Slow’ the bikes are designed with an emphasis on comfort over speed. The bike is simply a way to enjoy your city, as much about the journey as the destination.

More Information

The name Tokyobike was derived from the design of the bikes. In the same way the mountain bike was designed for the mountains so tokyobike was designed for Tokyo.

The bike shop also stocks hard-to-find accessories and Japanese bags and housewares. It also has a bike workshop in the basements, where its mechanics can discuss any customization or repair your bike may need.

The bikes are very trendy and sleek, and different to any you have seen.
The store is a beautiful, where the bikes are elevated on a white platform, to properly show off the bikes and their many colours and models.
It is definitely worth checking out if you are or even are not on the look out for a new bike!
