PIN Wapping Woods
An Underrated Piece Of Green Space In the Exotic East
Visitors to London expect tall buildings, lots of traffic, miles of pavements, and bustling streets. If they look carefully enough they can expect to find lots of little ‘postage-stamp-sized’ pieces of greenery about as far removed from Hyde Park as anyone could be expect. Some of the places are harder to find than others but one such place is Wapping woods in Tower Hamlets, East London.
Lots of locals pass through this place every day but very few visitors know of its existence. It is a lovely green space where visitors can expect to find a little peace and tranquillity in the midst of East London’s noise and commotion. The area itself is rich in history and the nearby 'Waterside Gardens' are said to be the place where the famous Captain Kidd met an unfortunate end in the hangman’s noose.
With little other distractions, it is a great place to exercise, walk the dogs, or just sit down and take it all in before visiting one of ‘the East’s’ many other attractions.
