PIN Waterlow Park
A wonderful park for people of all ages!
Visitors looking for some greenspace to relax in, or a place to play some sports or maybe even learn a little history can definitely find it here in Waterlow Park, Highgate, an area in the north of London.
The park itself has a rich history. This piece of land used to be a private estate owned by Sydney Waterlow. He then donated the park to the council in the year 1889, and said that it would be "a garden for the gardenless". Now the park attracts a multitude of people. There are a lot of activities and is run by the local council.
The 29-acre piece of land is very roomy, there is also an area dedicated to the kids and it is also possible to book some of the facilities, such as the netball or tennis pitch. There is also a cafe for visitors to enjoy some food and beverages, and the Park also attracts some wildlife, from bats to ducks and even herons.
