The Windmill stands proudly in the middle of Wimbledon Common. There is a museum inside which opened in 1976 and visitors can learn all about the development and construction of windmills and how they worked.

There is also a golf course which is available all year round. The place is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Conservation Area.
There is decent gift shop in the museum where you can buy some interesting souvenirs. The entrance to the museum is free but there is a charge for groups. There is also a large free car park available
