Natural History Museum

So much to see and learn

I visited the Natural History Museum Friday 19th May. The museum is designed in different parts. There was the Human Evolution with a lots of human skulls, skeletons, bones, and the history about of human evolution, from the beginning to today. There was also the history of the different 'species' of humans. Under each set of bones, skeletons, humans, there is an explanation that allowed us to understand what’s happened. I really liked this part of the museum because you can touch many exposed exhibits and I find it’s very interesting.

Then I went to see the space on Volcanoes and Earthquakes. Personally, it was my favourite part of this Museum. There were different animations - you can create your own volcano on the screen - but the best part was a platform to a Japanese store, which simulated an earthquake. The shelves trembled, and the ground also. There were screens with some of the greatest earthquake and tsunami known. There was a lot of exposed rocks from seisms that you could touch.

Then there was a part about the history of stones, the Quartz etc… I am not especially passionate but I found the stones beautiful because it shines.

I continued to walk inside the museum and there was a floor about the animals. A entire room dedicated for the biggest animals on Earth. So I could see a whale on the actual size. That’s was so amazing. There were showcases where were exposed a lots of stuffed animals, fossils…

There is also a wild garden, I was able to see baby ducks, but it rained a few hours before so the animals were inside their house. There was a lot of grass with insects inside, and normally, there are a lot of butterflies flying in the garden and you can observe them. Inside there is a rock giant that pays homage to the victims of the tsunami of 2004

So if you are passionate by those things, this museum is for you.
